We are proud to present a combined effort between two bands from extreme opposites of the American continent. Both bands showcase their affinity for melodic hardcore while wearing their influences on their collective sleeves.

Police & Thieves are known for their melodic brand of 80′s influenced harDCore, while Remission plays a style of hardcore reminiscent of bands like Verbal Assualt and One Step Ahead.

For Police & Thieves this is their first official recording since their 2nd EP, “Amor y Guerra” on Youngblood Records in 2008. The songs on the split maintain their mid-tempo melodic sound from their previous releases, while adding faster parts to the songs, giving them a more dynamic and powerful feel. The lyrics of these songs focus on personal struggles as well as those of self-empowerment.

For Remission, they recorded these 2 new songs shortly after their “Winds of Promise” 7” on React! Records. Their style has been influenced by Verbal Assault and Dag Nasty but they continue to put their own stamp of melodic hardcore over this classic style. Lyrically the songs touch upon social and personal issues of the day. It has been said by many that this band put South America on the hardcore map, discover why!

After more than 10 years of absence of new material, Entrefuego surprises everyone with this EP that promises to be just the beginning of their comeback. After their last LP “Himnos de Esperanza y Frustracion” (2000), the band just recorded some demos that have being shared through the internet since then. These songs were supposed to be part of their 2nd LP that finally never came out.

This EP is not a risky bet by the band in terms of sound, but still shows some new musical elements that are easy to recognize. These new elements are combined with the classic Entrefuego sound consolidating their own sound and basically picking where their previous records left off. “Heridas Que Aprenden a Sanar” (Wounds that start to heal), one of those old songs from the 2003 demos was recorded for this EP in a more compacted and effective version. This, plus 2 completely new songs composed by the new line-up: “Caminare” (I’ll walk), a song that mixes chaotic drumming with melodic guitars while telling a story of the accident that Jeronimo (vocals) had a couple years ago.”‘Caminare’ was a mantra that I repeated to myself everyday after the accident” Jeronimo said. The other new song, “Verdades negociables” (Negociable Truth) adds more dense sounds reminiscent to Earth Crisis’ “Gomorrah’s Season Ends” era or even Neurosis, while the lyrics are a hard criticism to mainstream media.

Few copies left on red vinyl so act fast if you want to snag one of those. You can order a copy right now from our store: http://store.amendment-records.com

After a long wait, we finally have these 2 releases available for order. These are shipping now, so you should get these within the next weeks if you order promptly.

CONTRA TODOS MIS MIEDOS- “Colera” 7″ EP (AMEND: 11)

After 2 long years of their acclaimed debut, Contra Todos Mis Miedos (former Against All My Fears) give birth to their most ambitious release to date, with strong signs of musical and lyrical maturity. The applied formula on this record is, in deed, very similar to their “XXVII” LP, but the results are way more effective due to a much more exhaustive work to compose these songs, as well in the recording and post-production processes.

This EP is in equal parts: aggressiveness, urgency and clarity. With clear winks to bands like Refused, Snapcase and Unbroken, CTMM also contribute their own elements to achieve their own sound very early in their career as a band.

The message through their lyrics is very easy to comprehend. These, relate in 1st person about someone who recognizes himself as a victim of constant brainwashing by this society, and his desperate desire to escape.

After El Eterno Enemigo‘s break up, 2 of the members decide to continue composing music for a new project including former and current members of Reconcile and Nueva Etica.
